SKATING WITH DC ICE BREAKERS & LOG CABIN REPUBLICANS

 

Join us for a whole new way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!  

We'll be meeting up with DC Ice Breakers and the Log Cabin Republicans for an hour of casual ice skating, followed by food, drinks, and conversation at Bailey's Pub and Grille.  

We'll even be treated to free (limited) appetizers and pool at Bailey's!  It all happens on St. Patrick's Day, Wednesday, March 17 at 7:45 pm.  Skating novices are welcome.  Or just come to watch, then join us for the social after.  The details:

-  WHO: Anyone and everyone!  Skaters range from first-timers to professionals.

-  WHAT: Casual ice skating at the FULLY ENCLOSED Capitals Iceplex in Ballston, followed by food, drinks and conversation at Bailey's Pub and Grille.  Bailey's will treat us to FREE (limited) pizza, wings, chips and dip, FREE use of a pool table, and FREE tabletop shuffleboard!

 -  WHEN: Wednesday, March 17, rain or shine (cause the rink is fully enclosed).  Skating from 7:45 - 8:45 pm, followed by a social at Bailey's from 9:00 pm - ???

 -  WHERE: Kettler Capitals Iceplex, on top of the Ballston Common Mall parking garage, 627 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22203, with plenty of cheap, on-site parking.  It's just 2 short blocks from the Ballston Metro station.  Bailey's Pub and Grille is in the mall, directly below the rink.  For directions, go to www.ballston-common.com/info/map.cfm.

 -  COST: Skating is just $8, plus $3 for skate rental.  There's no charge just to watch.  The social is pay-as-you-go.

 -  SUGGESTED ATTIRE: Wear a light jacket.  Gloves are recommended.
